To pick up where I left off….our trip. My daughter was able to go with me and we went to New Jersey and New York and had a “Wonderful” time and cannot wait to return. It also gave me the opportunity to meet several people that I have read for before and had never met.
Upon returning from our short vacation, my mother was hospitalized and diagnosed with a late stage of breast cancer. (To those that know of this, I thank you for the heart felt emails!). She is now at home and taking one day at a time.
So with the trip and her hospitalization, my working hours were very sporadic the first part of the month. I am now back on track and it remains that the best time to catch me for a reading are between 1:00PM to 1:00AM.
With spring right around the corner, I am getting requests for psychic parties and have booked a couple. I have to say that these tend to book up quickly. If you have a group of 6 or more and are interested in a psychic party please email me through my website.
Upcoming, I am offering a local class for Reiki Certifications for Level I & Level II, the first Saturday in March. This will be held in Chesterfield, Virginia and the location depends on the number that registers. Spaces are limited mainly because I like working with smaller groups.
For Valentine’s Day, I had a couple of clients send me emails from other psychics offering “Love spells” and all sorts of Valentine goodies. I do find this irritating and would hope that my clients do not buy into this. (Look for my past blog on Psychic Scams!)
“Punxsutwaney Phil” (the groundhog) may have predicted a delay in spring. However, if I look at my Siberian Husky, “Sasha”, she is definitely blowing her winter coat early! (My favorite seasons are spring and summer!)
As of this week, I have accepted a “10 – Week” Challenge from my gym. So, wish me luck. (And YES, I am sore, lol!) I will certainly keep you updated on this adventure.
I am asked on a regular basis about meditation. For some, this comes easy and for others it takes practice. One of the biggest suggestions I can offer is it has to do with your “Atmosphere”. There are a lot of little “Mini detoxins” that you can do to help you prepare yourself for mediation.
First and foremost you should have a good “dent” in your “to do” list. From cleaning out closets, making calls, etc. The less you have to wonder about, the more successful your meditation will be. Next, see if you can find the appropriate “Time” for meditation. This could be early morning, late at night, or perhaps after the children go to bed. Finally, your “Atmosphere”, in picking the place for your meditation. A quiet, uncluttered spot.
This could be a corner in your living room, your bedroom or guest room, wherever you decide, make sure you are comfortable and that the atmosphere is inviting. Like most things practice makes perfect. The important thing is that you try to schedule the “Me” time for yourself!

Keeping true to my promise, I will give you all some of my “rants and raves”. This is also a great opportunity to answer some of the questions that I am asked most often.
On the paranormal side of things, CVAPI stays busy. I have actually turned down more cases than I have accepted the last few months. Since the airing of our case on the Animal Planet, it seems that I have a lot of families out there with a focus on television. This has caused us to up the screening process on the cases that we do take.
Is my house haunted? I hate using the word “Haunted”, so I think I will go with “Spiritually Inhabited”, lol. My daughter and I used to write down all of the random events that occurred here, and it just became too much. Now, I want to add that there is nothing “Scary” here, but we can be very active at times. Has anyone else had experiences there? Yes, several and some nothing at all. I believe it depends on the person. If you have a fear of the paranormal nothing seems to happen. (I do try hard not to bring my work home with me!) Now onto the psychic realm of things…
When is a good time to get a reading with you? My availability continues to vary. I have clients all over the US, Canada, United Kingdom, and a few other countries. For the most part, you are almost guaranteed to catch me between the hours of 1:00PM and 1:00AM. (Eastern Time.)
How often should I get a reading? Only you know that answer. It depends on the person and the situation. When things from your prior reading start to pass, this is generally the time to see what else lies ahead.
Do you ever plan to have a local storefront? NO, I enjoy reading locally at events. (The thought of a sign out front makes me cringe!) My office is located in my home, and I do not offer readings here. I am at Sideline Café locally every Tuesday night and sometimes on Saturday’s during the day to accommodate schedules. Another personal fact, I don’t like psychic fairs. I think all readings are personal no matter what length of time and I don’t like reading among a group of people. (Not to mention that the energy is CRAZY!) Now onto the personal side of things….
Do you have any pets other than your cat and dog? No, and these two are a handful! I post a lot of pictures of them on Facebook. “Sasha” is a Siberian Husky who is by my side all the time. (That is right, she hears all of your readings, lol) Actually Sasha is very aggressive. I don’t view myself as her “Master” but rather “Her person”, she has me trained well. She only likes to go outside when she deems it necessary. “Roxy” is my daughter’s cat, these two live in harmony “most” of the time. For those that know the temperament of a Maine Coon, what can I say….she is NUTS.
How do you spend your time off? Like most, with family and friends. Things I do enjoy are reading, and here lately drawing. I do take the time to play Trivia with friends every Thursday evening. I am not a gamer, but I have recently switched from playing Angry Birds to Words With Friends, it’s a good pass time. Another favorite for “Me Time” is going to the gym. (I know strange, but I actually enjoy going.)
I am super excited about an upcoming trip to New Jersey and NYC at the end of this month. (I will be sure to post about it.) I am scaling back on a few things this year to make room for more things that I enjoy. One of those things are radio shows, I will continue to appear as a guest from time to time, but not as often. I have had some ask about our past radio show, and as of now, I don’t intend to do that this year. (I say that now, we shall see.) It takes a lot of time to produce a weekly show. I am hoping that this will allow more time for get togethers with my meetup group Central VA Psychic Development and Paranormal Research.
I also have a couple of books stuck in my head that I would like to take the time to work on. One is almost complete. (Writing is another of my favorite pass times as I find it relaxing!) I also like to watch television, though I don’t always take the time to do so. I think most are surprised that I actually spend very little time watching paranormal television shows. Which one is my favorite? Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel. I like reality tv, The Housewives Series, Black Gold, true crime shows, and Lifetime. (Who doesn’t like Lifetime? And yes, I am including the men out there on that as well!)
Even though I choose to work as a psychic because I like helping people. I think most are surprised to learn that I live a very normal life. Until next time…

2011 in review and upcoming for 2012

It amazes me how quick this year has gone by. All in all, it has not been a bad year, but it did come with more challenges than most. That applies to my clients as well as my daughter and myself. However all is well with everyone! Hardships are chalked up to “Life’s lessons”, and we would not be complete without them. For those that know me, know that I am very much into “Things happen for a reason.”
In a nutshell, across the board, 2011 has not been an easy year on my clients. The economy has hit some harder than others. I am happy to report that those that were hit are fairing well. When hard times hit, always remember to keep it positive. Look at what you do have verses what you don’t have.
What was new for me in 2011? Traveling to some events, national television, a lot more radio shows and FACEBOOK! Yes, I can say that Facebook is by far my new addiction! It has given me the opportunity to “mingle” with some of my clients that are out of state, the opportunity for some of my clients to get to know me on a more personable level, and some Facebook friends that have turned into clients. As well as the opportunity to reunite with long lost family and friends.
For those that don’t have Facebook, I will make a point to start posting to this blog on a more regular basis in 2012. I get LOTS of emails that ask questions about me as a person. Sometimes I forget, that you really don’t “know” me or who I am. So for 2012, I will post more blogs that are geared towards me and my rants and raves.
Now onto the big picture…What can you expect for 2012? First of all, I am not one of those that believe the World will end in 2012. Nor am I one of those psychics that like to post predictions for the year. (I find that very irritating, when they are yelling I predicted that!) With that said let me give you some basic generalizations for the upcoming year.
So on a whole for 2012….in one word “Changes”. The good and the bad? Lets get “The bad” out of the way first. There will indeed be an increase in natural disasters this year that will lead a lot to start yelling that the end is here. (Keeping locations out of this, but it does apply to the US as well.) The presidential election, this is going to be a mess. (Enough said on that for now, wait and see what happens). Banking and financial institutions are going to take a really hard hit this year resulting in some radical changes. (More so than what you have seen in the last couple of years.) And unfortunate but true, I look for the death announcement of a very well known psychic. If you are in Virginia, beware of the weather in January! It will be nasty! (Also we haven’t seen the big quake yet, but it’s coming.)
Now for the good news. This is an incredible year of “Reuniting”. From relationships to family this shows a definite increase for 2012. Those that have suffered hardships in the past 3 years will begin to reap their rewards in 2012 in all areas of their lives. On personal levels, “What was lost will now be found, and what was missing will be replaced”. Living in a World of science, the Metaphysical comes out strong this year, as well as many scientists that will participate in Metaphysical studies. (This is pertaining to healing). Now, what you need to know… If you need to make amends with someone now is the time to do so. I say this because a lot of karma is coming in to those that have done others wrong in 2012. (Timing is everything.)
On a whole most people’s “Perspective” will switch to a positive stance in 2012. I can say as a psychic, I am pleased at seeing this and the energy surrounding it is wonderful.
Changes for me in 2012? Though as a psychic I don’t read well for myself, but so far I like what I see. One of the things I do see is more face-to-face meetings with some that I have read for a very long time. I am super excited about this! I look for a lot more outings with my Meetup group and my paranormal team, CVAPI coming on strong yet again. The first of the year I will be working on my new book inspired by my Ghost Hunting 101 presentation, and I am actually excited about this.
Now for my rant….If I read one more thing from a psychic on how to prepare for 2012, I honestly think I will puke. Everyone please, please, please be warned of the psychic scams that I can see coming from this. No one can sell you fairy dust to fix your problems and the year 2012 is NOT as bad as some are making it out to be!

I normally don't take the time to post about a month in general. However, in doing the horoscopes this month, I am amazed at what looks like one CRAZY month ahead of us in November.
It is true that Mercury Retrograde begins November 24th. However, this one does not appear to reek the chaos it normally does. In fact, I see nothing but positive changes for this particular Retrograde.
The best I can describe the entire month of November is extremely high energy, or more so than what I have seen in well over a year. This is absolutely the month of the "unexpected", but to a positive effect.
What kind of strange occurrences can you expect this month? Almost anything. This is the month that the impossible seems to take place. Items you lost, will be found, people you thought would never unite, will. It is a month when all the odds work for you instead of against you and the cliche' of "opposites attract" begin to materialize. New beginnings are at hand in all areas.
The down side to this...

For those that have never tried Reiki, I highly recommend it. My original interest was for myself. A technique of grounding, relaxation and letting everyone's energy go after hours of readings. I have found this to be most successful.
Some refer to Reiki as "The Healing Touch" and indeed it can be used for healing. It is sent into the body for the "Greater good", taking care of what needs to be healed. I have seen amazing results from anywhere from toothaches to migranes.
Reiki is a form of "Energy healing" which involves aligning the chakras and cleansing the aurua. This will generally provoke a 30 day cleansing period to which some have reported some amazing breakthroughs in that 30 days.
Another use for Reiki is for your pets. My Siberian Husky, Sasha LOVES a Reiki session and actually is jealous if someone other than her is getting a Reiki session. She recently turned 11 years old, and I personally view this as a necessity in maintaining her youthful energy and overall health.
With the healing results that I have seen I am curious to find out what else can be done. I have seen toothaches and migranes, cuts and wounds. But this has left me to wonder what else can be done physically with Reiki? This has prompted me to try my own "Reiki experiment" beginning this weekend for the next few weeks.
We all know that the key to weight loss is diet and exercise. But I am curious if it would speed up your results by incorporating Reiki and some natural rememdies? Thus, this is the experiment. This will involve myself logging 4 weeks results, and then on a couple of my volunteer friends so I may share their stories as well. So, stay tuned!

In speaking with a member of Central VA Psychic Development & Paranormal Research, I found someone that placed her life on hold for 6 months after meeting with a local psychic for a reading.
The problem? The psychic had told her that a particular person would return to her within 6 months. This never came to pass. Meanwhile, she tells me she was an emotional mess in that time.
With many varying gifts that psychic's carry, how do they read tiimeframes? Some say they can see timeframes while others cannot. In the event I am doing a reading and I am asked for a timeframe, I either see it or I don't. With some an actual date will show, with others a calendar, and when we are in that particular timeframe I am unable to narrow it down from there. So how much faith do you put into timeframes?
A psychic reading is meant to be uplifting and insightful. It is an opportunity for you to see what lies ahead. If there is something negative upcoming, you have an opportunity to change that path. If there is something you are waiting for upcoming, you should no its a matter of time, and NOT place your life on hold for it.
So what happened in her situation? Was the timing off? Or was the psychic inaccurate?
I actually view this in two differnt ways. First off, yes timeframes can be off. I have found it is perfectly feesible to get someone in the right timeframe, but hard to "pinpoint" an actual date of events.
Next, was the psychic inaccurate? You would have to look at the entire reading to determine that. Did things actually come to pass? Or was the reading generalized?
The first key in an accurate psychic reading is actually taking the time to research your psychic. If they are indeed offering psychic readings to the public, then there has to be a track record somewhere, and generally you can find a lot of this information online.
I do have many successful "timeframe" stories that my clients can share, I hope they will do so. One that really sticks with me happened a few years ago. When she first contacted me she had ended things with the love of her life, he had left the country and they had no way of contacting one another. Though I still saw him there in her reading, I also saw that it would be several months out. He did indeed return 19 months later and they married.
The point I want to make here, is not on the timeframe, but the fact that she did continue to live her life. She even played the dating game. Though he was the one she indeed wanted, she never ruled out other possibilities. She continued her readings with me and did not dwell on this person returning.

Irene was downgraded to a severe tropical storm when it hit us Saturday afternoon until the wee hours of Sunday morning. This sent our power out early on Saturday, coming back on this afternoon. Though I lost 14 trees (uprooted), I came out with no damage. Unfortunately, my neighbors ended up with a few of my trees hitting their house. Feeling the Earth move today...

I am AMAZED at how many of you across the US and Canada remembered I am in Virginia and I thank all of you for the emails of concern. We indeed did had a 5.8 earthquake today, located a couple of counties over from us. My daughter was in the office with me at the time and we are all just fine. No damage to report but a very long 30 seconds. They have reported one after shock so far, that we did not even feel.
Now on to the weekend. We are keeping our eye on Hurricane Irene. As of now it has the potential to hit us as a Category 2 Hurricane. We went through a Category 1 back in 2003 and were without power and land locked for days. So we are hoping for the best on this go around.
In the event I loose power it WILL affect emails, email readings and your weekly forecast. (I am on what I refer to as "Hootersville Electric") In this case, please know that you will be my TOP priority once I'm up and running again. It has been a long time coming but my entire psychic website at www.ms-swami.com has been revamped and went live today! (All prices remain the same, there were no adjustments there.) The focus was on easier navigation of the site, and we had some prior complaints about the site loading correctly on smartphones. Hopefully all of these issues have been resolved! IF you happen to come across ANY problem on the website, or have a suggestion PLEASE let me know. In the past, I have had numerous problems with the form for leaving testimonials, and so far, this new one is working like a charm! A new psychic scam has recently come to my attention that I want to share with other psychics and paranormal investigators. I have been approached from a psychic with a "featured radio show" on Blogtalk. They are asking for payment to appear as a guest on their show, as well as offering advertising on thier Blogtalk site.
First of all, you should never PAY to appear on ANY radio show.
To add to their "hype" they have included some well known psychics and paranormal investigators names that they say have appeared on their show. In browsing their past shows podcasts, none of these people are on these shows.
I did indeed approach them to see if this was for their own financial gain and this is the copy of the response that I recieved:

"No its not financial gain, its to keep the show on the air and this show has helped so many people, we have helped people even as far as stopping them from committing suicide. All of my guest have been more then happy to help the show, as they know how much the show helps people, they get to help when they are on and many listeners go them privately for help!"

Okay, first of all...psychics do NOT offer medical or legal advice. I have a real issue with the fact that you proclaim to have stopped someone from committing suicide when you are not in the medical field.
Next if you cannot afford your featured radio show GET OFF THE AIR! Or downgrade to a free show since you obviously have such a strong following.
A lot of talk shows are informative and do help people at large. However, it is ridiculous to think that people would pay to be on the radio.

Leo Brown has always been a talker. Ever since he was a boy growing up in the Deep South. "I would always run my mouth and tell people what I thought," he says. Though, some loved the fact that he was so open with his thoughts, some people found him to be a bit of a loudmouth. "As I was growing up, I was thinking of ways to use this mouth I had. Suicide and the other side...

I have a handful of clients that have had a loved one pass by death by suicide. Although any death is never easy, it does seem to leave some confusion as to the fate of their soul. So I want to see if I can put this into perspective of what happens to them on the other side.
If a loved one has committed suicide this does NOT mean they have gone to hell. There is a slow transition phase that they will go through when they cross. God does look at them prior to that frame of mind. This does not automatically make them a damned soul. The transition period is where they are counsled and consoled.
With that said, I also would like to add that there is no "time" on the other side. Our 5 minutes could be their 5 years.
There are instances of suicide victims that have chosen not to cross for fear of what to expect. This does not just apply to suicide but to those that have died suddenly, children, and those that are just uncertain if they should enter the light.
No matter what the cause of death, once they have crossed they are allowed to visit. This can be from smells, to feeling their presence, seeing something out the corner of your eye, to actual paranormal activity.
Ever had a dream of a loved one who has passed? These are considered actual visits!
Although cliche' it is true...time does heal all wounds. The hurt will always be there but not as strong. Sometimes, you have to start over instead of picking up where you left off.

Opinions, opinions, opnions...if you know me than you know my blog is full of my opinions. I actually have a lot to say about Psychics and Missing Person cases, and a LOT of pet peeves as to how other psychics handle this. Let me see where to begin...
I am often asked as a psychic, "Do you ever contact law enforcement?" The answer to that is NO. Now let me explain why. First of all, it is my personal beliefthat if I am meant to be involved in something they will find me. Does law enforcement actually use psychics? The answer to that is YES, more often than you may realize. My pet peeves in all of this? MANY, psychics that do reach out to law enforcement, can and have been charged with obstruction of justice and I support that FULLY!
I think I can best describe Missing Person Cases as emotionally challengingfor all involved, including the psychic. First and foremost, it is not my job as a psychic to inform the family of a missing person that their loved one has crossed over or is still living, that is the job of law enforcement. Next, when a family of a missing person reaches out to you it is out of "total desperation", meaning they have no other stone to turn. Nine times out of ten, they have never even spoken to a psychic before. In addition, to every one of these cases that I have been involved with, the family has a "theory" of who done it and how it happened. Therefore it may be difficult to explain to them "exactly what you see".
Now on to my pet peeves...
To the psychics that jump into the middle of an open investigation, yes, you should be charged with obstruction of justice. To the psychics that "advertise" they specialize in missing person cases...they completely disgust me. To the psychics that post on their websites and all over the internet your "Insights" of a missing person's whereabouts...you are messing with an open investigation and starting rumors. To the psychics, that in your post, you descriptively describe where to find a body...you have obviously NEVER worked with a task force or the family of a missing person. If you had you would one, realize it is an open investigation, and two realize how hurtful your words are to the people that loved them. To the psychics that advertise that they will only charge for their "travel expenses" to this I would have to say...REALLY? Because as a psychic you shouldn't HAVE to travel anywhere! To the psychics that advertise how law enforcement can contact you, this is one of the many reasons as to why they WILL NOT. And finally, to ANY psychic out there trying to collect money on someone's desperation and need for insights, I have one word for you...KARMA.
The reality of all of this is that IF they are not seeking "monetary compensation" then they are seeking the recognition. If this is the way you want to earn your "fame" than I have real issues with it.
If you are reading this and fall into the category of one of these psychics then you deserve to loose what business you have for lack of compassion! Try as I may, as a psychic, I cannot find any defense for these actions.
Bottom line, missing person cases are REAL. I am completely horrified in hearing what these families as well as law enforcement have been through with psychics.

Can things change in a reading?

In speaking to one of my clients today, they had spoken with another psychic that told them "things can change in a reading". This is not the first time I've heard this so I wanted to discuss this a little further.
First of all, I want to remind you that the whole purpose of a psychic reading is so that you will know what is to come. Can you change that? Sometimes you can.
A good example of this is a traffic ticket. If I see you getting a traffic ticket and you remember that and slow down, then your in good shape. More so than not, you remember AFTER the fact.
Another example would be if you ask if you will meet someone new this weekend. Well if I tell you yes, and you go out, then it is highly probable. If on the other hand you decide to stay at home, well now, that changes everything.
These are just two examples of how "things can change". I have not experienced any drastic changes in readings, unless the individual has actually changed something.
The timing of matters can be delayed, for this you can thank the Universe. But timing is crucial in all events. "For everything there is a reason and a season".
So as for the original question..."Can things change in a reading?"...
You yourself can change things. The only thing a psychic can do is relay to you how things will play out, what you do with that is up to you.
Now, for those of you that have been told that things can change in a reading, and you have had NOTHING materialize or come to pass...this I would question.
The changes I have seen are generally small details controlled by the client.

I have received a few emails asking if Reiki can cure a specific ailment. I want to tell you exactly how Reiki works. The healing energy is channelled into you for "the greater good." It enters your body and it "goes were it is needed." I have had a couple people tell me that their Reiki session fixed another aillment that I didn't even know they had. As a practitioner, it is not up to you to direct the energy.
Also there is no "Right way or wrong way" to preform Reiki. Nor is there ever a "bad time" for you to receive a Reiki session. I have found that the ones that state this are generally the ones that are charging a ridiculous fee!

The Gifts

I have been asked many times about the varying gifts of a psychic. So I want to take the time to discuss a few things. First of all not all psychics are mediums, but all mediums are psychic. What is a medium? It is someone that can effectively communicate with the other side.
Clairvoyant. 90% of my readings are clairvoyant, it means that I am clear seeing. The best I can describe this is that I can visually see what is to come. (Like mini movies.) The other 10% of my readings are Tarot readings by request. Can all psychics read the Tarot? No. Can anyone learn to read the Tarot? Yes. I have seen many great Tarot readers that can also pick up clairvoyance from the Tarot.
An Intuitive and an Empath. An intuitive is someone that "reads" by their "gut feeling", it does not mean they can actually see things that will come. An Empath is someone who picks up on emotions. Are they psychic? In my opinion, no. Although they can be accurate at times, and they are psychic abilities, it does not "make" them a psychic. Unfortunately, many have found that they can make money at readings and now consider themselves psychic. This is generally found out after a few readings due to lack of accuracy, or they will state "I cannot read for you right now."

Choosing a psychic

I don't expect everyone that visits my site to choose me for a reading. Sometimes, you need to let that "gut feeling" lead you. What "feels right" and what doesn't. Some key things you will want to look for:
- How long have they been around?
- Do you "feel" you would be comfortable speaking to them.
- What are their gifts?
- Can you find them on the web?
- Do they offer a reading that would fit you? (Ex. Tarot, Clairvoyance, Medium, etc.)
- Is the price a reasonable request? (A higher price does NOT mean a better psychic.)
There is another "red flag" that you need to look for...
If they do NOT disclose what they charge, be leery! (This is a common scam.)
Also note, how will you pay? (Do not send cash or Western Union!)

I was speaking with another psychic yesterday and I have to say we agreed to disagree. Although we all work by our own standards and code of ethics, it is my personal opinion that you should never pay for a house clearing or a house blessing.
I do understand that to some this is part of their psychic services, but it doesn't mean I agree with it.
Clergy offers these services, generally free of charge. To the homeowners that I personally know, if someone tried to charge them they found someone else. She then referenced that our work is somewhat like "clergy", as we work as spiritual counselors.
Well then this just confuses me. As I said, clergy generally does not charge for this service. I personally have never considered myself as a "counselor." To me this is someone who "gives advice", not discloses what they "see". So no, I am afraid I do not see that connection.
This to me falls into the same category as how we offer our paranormal services free of charge. I also do not support the teams that are charging for them.
Yes, we all have a right to make a living. However, I do feel that there are times when charging for something is not appropriate.
Like I said, just my personal opinion, but some things we should not have to pay for!

I have meant to write about this and I seem to forget. Often I am asked what is the difference in a reading in person and one on the phone. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! This also applies to chat and email readings. What I am reading is your energy. Your energy does NOT change weather you are in front of me or not. 98% of my readings are clairvoyant (Clear seeing, and what I see), the other 2% are when someone requests a Tarot reading. In person readings I tend to use the Tarot because it gives you, the client, a visual. So in actuality, all readings are the same.

What is a chain letter? It is a letter developed to go out to many people, leaving "blanks" in it where your name is filled in. This gives the "personalization" look to the letter, and it appears it was written just for you.
Thanks to a friend, I have in my possession a numerous amount of these letters from some very "well known" psychics. (She has these letters from her elderly sister who lost her life savings and over $150,000.00 to psychics.)
Generally they appear as being personally directed to you and anywhere from $19.99 to $299.99 will turn your luck around! (I'm thinking fairy dust maybe?) And there are some that will even send you a dollar store trinket as your lucky charm. I find ALL of this to be very disturbing. These are well known psychics that have appeared on television numerous times. Two of them, I have contacted myself.
People, DO NOT buy into this! I cannot "fix" your problems for any amount of money, nor can anyone else. These letters are going out to thousands of people. I have said this many times but let me give you a refresher:

1. DO NOT send a psychic cash.
2. DO NOT send a psychic money via Western Union. (You have no recourse, Paypal acts as a credit card company.)
3. DO NOT send a psychic money out of the country.
4. And NO we do NOT know the lottery numbers!

What is Reiki?

Reiki is Japanese for Universal Life Force Energy, or often referred to as Spiritually Guided Energy. In short it is a form of "energy healing". It pertains to working with your chakras. (Chakras are the energy centers of our bodies that turn and process the energy inside of us.) There are 7 main chakras in the body, with each one having a specific color.
A Reiki attunement/session can be done hands on or sent by distance. Either way it is effective. Can it heal your headache? Can it fix your toothache? Yes and no, the energy healing is sent to "heal" the greater good. Meaning it goes into your body where a healing is needed.
Reiki can be learned by anyone. I first learned of Reiki through raving reviews from my clients. I have to agree, it is life altering!

How to tell if a psychic is legit.

Last night I was on the themixtalk.com with Psychic Craig Eugene. (We will be back next Tuesday night at 9:00PM). We had a caller, Kimberly from Virginia who asked a wonderful question...."With all the psychics out there nowadays, how can you tell if they are legit?" I want to go a little further with this...

As with any industry, it is scary to see how many scam artists are beginning to surface. There are ways that you can research a psychic. This applies to if you find them online or locally in your area.

1. How long have they been around? If they have been around for awhile, this needs to be taken into consideration. A lot of scam artists come and go rather quickly.

2. Can you validate their credentials? If they claim to have certificates, degrees, or organizations they will generally have a live link to validate their claim.

3. What does Google say? Try typing the psychics name or stage name into any search engine. If you only have the first name try entering the word "psychic" in front of it. (If it comes back with a Ripoff report, then there is your sign!)

4. What if they are local? Do they have a business license within the county or city they are working in? You can either check with the county or city or ask them to show it to you. (Be careful of the ones that are reading out of their homes...some are legit, but there are usually strict licensing laws pertaining to this.)

5. What if they are local and have no website? Then this is just scary. Most businesses have a web address of some sort available to the public. It is also a "red flag" if they only work for Psychic Services.

6. How do I choose a psychic on a psychic service? Start by LOOKING AT THE SERVICE. I will not name them but there are TWO major psychic services on the web where ANYONE can be a psychic. Don't get me wrong, because there are legitimate services out there that do test their psychics. HOWEVER, there are a lot of psychic services that advertise on the WHAM board. (Work at home moms) As well as some sites that offer various scripts for them to read...Scary isn't it?

7. Did they ask you for your birthday? Unless you are seeking an astrology reading, I have REAL issues with this. It is too easy to give a "generalized reading" of your zodiac sign.

Remember you the client have a right to choose, walk away, or end any reading at anytime. Here are some key words to look for:

Cash or Money Order, Western Union, Negativity surrounding you, Aura Cleansing, Hex or Curse removal, Spell casting, They need you to purchase something in order for something to come to pass, Lottery Numbers, or any "claim" that they can change things for you. These are STRONG signs that you have landed a scam artist!

You should pay for your reading....and NOTHING ELSE!
