September 2017 "Rants & Raves"

September has bought us the season of fall!  This means cooler temperatures and the changing of the leaves.  (To my daughter, it means pumpkin spice EVERYTHING!)  We entered September by taking our last summer outing to Virginia Beach to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and spun of a new group of friends in Maryland.

A lot of you have noticed that the homepage of my website has taken on a different look.  There will be a lot of changes to all of my websites over the remainder of the year.  (No worries, services and rates remain the same.)  I am purging a lot of things and cleaning them up slowly.

August 2017 "Rants & Raves"

I am hearing from a lot of you about the “Crazy energy” around you.  We are still under Mercury Retrograde until September 5^th, we also had the energy of the full moon and the eclipse, so I think it would be normal to call it the “Crazy energy”.  It appears to be bringing out a lot of emotions in most.  The good news is we will not go into Mercury Retrograde again until December 3^rd.

It has been another busy month for me as we enter the final days of summer.  We were able to spend some time at a lake nearby as well as to visit some friends in Outer Banks, NC.  Jaselyn has had a blast.  We visited “Gravedigger’s” race shop, and I really think she enjoyed this just as much as the beach.  (She really likes monster trucks!)

My YouTube videos, have been sporadic in the month of August.  This has been to a busy schedule and keeping up with appointments.  It does appear that the month of September may be the same way.  I do try to make up for this by jumping on there Live from time to time.

A glimpse into 2016...

I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas.  As promised, I want to take a look at some of the things that you can expect in 2016.  Below you can find a summary of some of things I am asked about most often.

Let’s begin with Mercury Retrograde.  This is the time frame of the unexpected and not the best time to begin new projects.  Generally we have 3 Mercury Retrogrades in a calendar year.  In 2016, we have 4.  Here are the dates for 2016 Mercury Retrograde:

January 6^th to January 26^th

April 29^th to May 23^rd

August 31^st to September 23^rd

December 20^th to January 9^th 2017

I want to take a look at the first retrograde, since it is right around the corner.  Though I have given you the dates, it is also common for you to feel things shift a couple of days prior to it beginning and a couple of days after it ends.  This one is a bit “Electrically” charged.  Ironically, I don’t see it causing the generally reported mechanical breakdowns; rather I see that electricity within people.  On that note, keep your temper in check, and don’t let things stress you out!  In regards to career and finance, oddly enough all 4 retrogrades are your strongest points this year.  Be warned that it also comes with frustration, aggravation and sometimes complete chaos.

Moving onto SNOW.  Yes, snow; I have mentioned this a few times before.  The first day of winter was December 21^st, and most of us in the country have experienced record high temperatures.  This is about to change.  Those that normally do not get snow will see snow.  Those that normally see snow will see some high accumulations.  It appears that once the snow begins, it will be pretty consistent until we almost hit spring.  If you’re in Virginia you need to pray for snow.  Why?  Because it appears that we could be headed into a major ice storm.  (I will take the snow over ice any day!)

In matters of Health in general for 2016, it appears that many of you will be taking on lifestyle changes.  Though you have heard people preach about it for many years, this is the year I see a lot of you adapting to it, and sticking to it.

In matters of Career and Finance, expect a “Roll reversal” in 2016.  Take the time to review where you have been in the last 3 years in your career and financially… If it has been a struggle, that struggle will end in 2016.  If you have been where you want to be in your career and financially stable, this could very well change for you in 2016.  Start saving for a rainy day, and be prepared to embrace “Change”.  If you are seeking a complete career change, 2016 is the year for that to happen.  If you are seeking to further your education this is a great year for you.  The one word that shines for career in 2016 is “Creativity”….in abundance!  If you are seeking to start a business, this is a great year to do so.

Onto the housing market…  For those who are seeking to invest and/or flip houses, this is a good year to do so as the housing market opens up.  For those seeking to purchase a home, this is the year to make that happen.  The same applies to those that are looking to sell their property.

A quick blurb on the dreaded subject I am asked about and that is in regards to terrorists attacks.  The month of March is what jumps out.  I am uncertain if this occurs before March or in the month of March.

If you will reflect upon the year of 2015, I am sure that you will see that your year was full of transitions and changes.  Most of them good changes and some unexpected.  2015 bought in subtle changes, compared to what you will see in 2016.  The changes in 2016 would best be described as “Major and drastic”.  Keep that in mind as we progress through the year.  I am a firm believer in that things happen for a reason, but sometimes you have to clear those changes in order to understand why they happen.  A time frame to compare 2016, roll your clock back to the years of 1987, 1988, and 1989.  Where were you then?  What occurred?  This is a good similarity of what you will see this year.  If you were a child in this era, then 2016 will bring in all new beginnings for you.

For those that follow the Chinese Zodiac, 2016 is the year of the Monkey.  Think about that animal for a moment... The monkey is high energy and jumping all around.  Just be warned of jumping into foolish decisions in hast this year.  The areas of concern with the monkey are regarding money and relationships.  (Take your time in those two matters this year!)

I am going to close this out with the number one question I am asked about for 2016… Who will be the 2016 President elect?  Love him or hate him….Donald Trump.

October 2015 "Rants & Raves"

Hello October!  I have spoken with many of you that are reporting electronic problems and have an overall feeling of the energy just being “Odd”.  We did end Mercury Retrograde this month.  However, we did not come out of the shadow of Mercury until this past Saturday on October 24^th.  What does this mean?  It means the odd energy that you have felt should begin to fade away and balance should be restored.

Happy Halloween to those of you I have not spoke with.  Halloween is this Saturday!  I am excited to go trick or treating with Jaselyn this year and am hoping for good weather.

Also it is time to “Fall Back”.  This Sunday, November 1^st we gain an hour so don’t forget to move your clocks back!

With encouragement from a friend, I have started a weekly forecast video for the month of October.  You may find the link to these videos on the YouTube icon on my homepage, or a link on my horoscopes page.  I am also linking those videos right here on the blog each week.  These are just broad generalized readings on what you can expect in the week ahead.  I will change things up from time to time.  (This coming week will include blasts for Gemini and Sagittarius.)  I am getting some good feedback on these; so let me hear from you so I will know that you are watching!

I have also spent a lot of time on my email list in cleaning it up.  Don’t forget that I now offer you a free Subscription for the horoscopes.  I will be sending out a newsletter in the month of November.  I had stopped these for a while and I see that many of you miss them.  Make sure I have your email address to get on that list!

My schedule has been a little crazy this month taking care of several things at once.  I had planned on a couple of local events in the month of November.  However it does look like I will have to postpone these for now.  (I also had to postpone an event in the month of October.)

In other news, I know I have mentioned a book I was working on in more then one occasion.  I am happy to report that it is finished!  It is currently with the editor as we speak as I move on to the cover!  I am so excited about this!  To those of you who have never wrote a book, I have to say it leaves you with an incredible feeling when it’s done! And to those of you who are thinking about writing a book, JUST DO IT!

June 2014 "Rants & Raves"

Welcoming the month of June and the first day of summer hit on the 21^st.  (My favorite season of the year!)  Today I am celebrating 8 years on my website.  It is hard to believe that 8 years ago, it actually launched as a 3 to 5 page site.  So, for the remainder of the month, one-hour phone readings for $98 and the Reiki course remains on sale, with an additional discount to groups of 4 or more.  (Email me, for an appointment for a one-hour reading.)

I can say that June has been a rather productive month as far as me getting some things done that I had been putting off.  My daughter and I have also really enjoyed having Jaselyn outside and spending some pool time with her.

I do have an issue that I want to address this month.  That pertains to the bashing of psychics and the paranormal and a few other things on television.  I have a LOT to say about this so I plan to do so on a separate blog.

Live readings have been put on hold until I find another local venue.  As an alternative, you may want to check into hosting a Psychic Party.

I have run into some problems with scheduling appointments in advance.   I am in Virginia and in the Eastern Time Zone.  Understandably, a lot of you are in a different time zones.  Though I express this when setting the appointment, you can generally go to “Google”  to find the time zone conversion.  If you are having a problem with this PLEASE just let me know.

I have a lot of writing to get done, and just waiting for that notion to strike me.  I actually came across something I began a few years back that I was really impressed with.  The problem appears to be in finding the time to do so.

I do get a lot of questions on Reiki and will see if I can give you a brief summary of it.  It pertains to “Energy healing”.  Learning the “Chakras”  (the energy fields), and how to align them.  It is also used for the “Greater good”, meaning the intent is to heal or relieve pain in the areas needed.  Will it cure things?  NO.  It is wonderful for pain management, or centering and grounding yourself.  If you have any questions or anything you would like to discuss, don’t hesitate to email me.

Mercury Retrograde ends on July 1^st.  I have several varying reports of some that this retrograde has hit them hard, to some that say it has not been that bad.  Either way, you are coming up on the end of it.  The next Retrograde will hit October 4^th to October 25^th.  You can always find these dates on my website under the Free Horoscopes, as well as the traits of the zodiac and compatibility.

The month of July, it is all about new beginnings and getting things done!

Now to answer the most popular question that I get:

What do people ask you when they call?

-         Love Life (Most popular) Separation or divorce, long term or short terms, if someone is coming in their love life, are things ending, infidelity, and just about anything pertaining to love.

-         Career – Have they chosen the right career, job changes, new jobs, searching for a job, self-employed, problems at work, income, seminars and conventions, and anything pertaining to their career.

-         Money -  lack of, investments and purchases, the sale of home or property, residential moves, income potential, what the future holds, loans, those that have borrowed from them, etc.

-         Family & Friends – relationship problems, trust issues, when will they get together, vacations, etc.

-         Education – If they have chosen the right path, when they will return, funding, college, etc.

-         Missing – persons, pets and items.  (More on this below.)

That is not everything obviously, but that will give you a general idea.  My clients come from all over and all walks of life.

With one of my television appearances being on the Animal Planet, I really want to stress that I am NOT a “Pet Psychic”.  NO ONE can read your pet better than you.  However, I am good at locating them when missing and have done so many times for my friends and clients.  In regards to “Missing persons”, I do NOT get involved unless a family member or a detective directly contacts me.  (I also do not charge for this.)  And of course, I have a mouthful to say about psychics that do jump in the middle of an open investigation.

June and July 2013 "Rants & Raves"

Well once again I have let the entire month of June slip by me.  I need to get into the habit of when I remind myself to update the blog, to actually stop what I am doing and do so!  June seems like it went by really quick.  Although spring and summer are my favorite months, they tend to go by very quickly. Central Virginia Paranormal Investigations  (CVAPI) wrapped up another interesting case at the beginning of June.  Currently we are trying to get that website updated.
The last few weeks I have enjoyed hearing your stories about Reiki.  Those that have found what it really works well as well as the students that I currently have, and their stories about working on family and friends. ( I am currently due for a session on myself as we speak!)
From June 26th on up until July 20th, we fall under Mercury Retrograde.  What does this mean to you?  It is not the time to sign contracts or begin anything new.  This is a time frame were most will experience a high level of anxiety.  It is also the time frame to which you can expect the unexpected.  This particular retrograde has seemed to hit the "Family" zone pretty hard.  There are a lot of you that appear to be struggling with some type of family issue at this time.  Avoid the negativity as much as possible!  If you are the one feeling negative, then its time to fall down and regroup.  Though Retrograde ends on July 20th, it is common for the after effects to linger around for a couple of days.

"Meet Jaselyn Cassidy"

I usually hate ultrasound pictures but this one came out really clear.  "Jaselyn Cassidy" is a baby girl, and my grand-baby!  She will arrive in November.  She was very active during her ultrasound and likes to play with her hands.  Maybe a musician or a gymnast? 

My daughter and I are hoping to take a little time off to visit some family at the Georgia/Tennessee line while she can still travel soon.

How many readings do you do in a day?
Honestly it depends a lot on my availability.  Like any business some days are busier than others.  I also keep odd hours for my clients in the UK.
How do I get an email reading?
For any type of psychic reading visit my website.  Under the section of psychic readings you will find several options.  Some prefer to call now, others by appointment.  Email readings are always a popular option for privacy regarding spouses or while at work.  They are generally answered within 24 hours.

July "Rants & Raves"

The month of July has gone by so fast that I almost forgot to get this blog up! Summer is indeed my favorite season of the year. Though we will see some hot days here in August, I always take note that the sun's position begins to change, indicating fall is around the corner. August and September also bring the beginning of hurricane season, and I am hoping the best for everyone. It looks like we are now in the middle of Mercury Retrograde, ending on August 8th. Though this moon phase brings many mixed emotions, it has indeed been a positive Retrograde for clearing out the old, and lining up new projects. I have spoke with many that have had a run of "good luck" recently, and hope I will see that continue. I have numerous emails from my local clients seeking a reading. I am no longer offering readings at Sideline Cafe. If you are local, this does not mean that I will not meet you in person. It does mean that we can meet somewhere else, and if you are in the Chester area, I don't mind coming to you. I am not conditioned to Tuesday evenings, however, this is a good time for me. I have had to make some adjustments to my schedule due to some upcoming projects. If you are local please email me at Jackie@ms-swami.com and I will see what I can set up for you. As well as I still have a couple of projects I am working on in my backyard. I also had a wonderful time pet setting for some friends this month. I do have good news myself for the month of July, as my daughter has registered and has decided to return to college this fall as a full time student! It also appears that I may have some upcoming changes to a couple of my websites and I'm pretty happy about as well. It is the end of the month. Some amazing results with Reiki...

For those that have never tried Reiki, I highly recommend it. My original interest was for myself. A technique of grounding, relaxation and letting everyone's energy go after hours of readings. I have found this to be most successful.
Some refer to Reiki as "The Healing Touch" and indeed it can be used for healing. It is sent into the body for the "Greater good", taking care of what needs to be healed. I have seen amazing results from anywhere from toothaches to migranes.
Reiki is a form of "Energy healing" which involves aligning the chakras and cleansing the aurua. This will generally provoke a 30 day cleansing period to which some have reported some amazing breakthroughs in that 30 days.
Another use for Reiki is for your pets. My Siberian Husky, Sasha LOVES a Reiki session and actually is jealous if someone other than her is getting a Reiki session. She recently turned 11 years old, and I personally view this as a necessity in maintaining her youthful energy and overall health.
With the healing results that I have seen I am curious to find out what else can be done. I have seen toothaches and migranes, cuts and wounds. But this has left me to wonder what else can be done physically with Reiki? This has prompted me to try my own "Reiki experiment" beginning this weekend for the next few weeks.
We all know that the key to weight loss is diet and exercise. But I am curious if it would speed up your results by incorporating Reiki and some natural rememdies? Thus, this is the experiment. This will involve myself logging 4 weeks results, and then on a couple of my volunteer friends so I may share their stories as well. So, stay tuned!

One of the questions is YOUR NAME. If you do not state your name, the call will not go through. If you continue to call without stating your name, you number is then blocked.

Placing your life on hold...

In speaking with a member of Central VA Psychic Development & Paranormal Research, I found someone that placed her life on hold for 6 months after meeting with a local psychic for a reading.
The problem? The psychic had told her that a particular person would return to her within 6 months. This never came to pass. Meanwhile, she tells me she was an emotional mess in that time.
With many varying gifts that psychic's carry, how do they read tiimeframes? Some say they can see timeframes while others cannot. In the event I am doing a reading and I am asked for a timeframe, I either see it or I don't. With some an actual date will show, with others a calendar, and when we are in that particular timeframe I am unable to narrow it down from there. So how much faith do you put into timeframes?
A psychic reading is meant to be uplifting and insightful. It is an opportunity for you to see what lies ahead. If there is something negative upcoming, you have an opportunity to change that path. If there is something you are waiting for upcoming, you should no its a matter of time, and NOT place your life on hold for it.
So what happened in her situation? Was the timing off? Or was the psychic inaccurate?
I actually view this in two differnt ways. First off, yes timeframes can be off. I have found it is perfectly feesible to get someone in the right timeframe, but hard to "pinpoint" an actual date of events.
Next, was the psychic inaccurate? You would have to look at the entire reading to determine that. Did things actually come to pass? Or was the reading generalized?
The first key in an accurate psychic reading is actually taking the time to research your psychic. If they are indeed offering psychic readings to the public, then there has to be a track record somewhere, and generally you can find a lot of this information online.
I do have many successful "timeframe" stories that my clients can share, I hope they will do so. One that really sticks with me happened a few years ago. When she first contacted me she had ended things with the love of her life, he had left the country and they had no way of contacting one another. Though I still saw him there in her reading, I also saw that it would be several months out. He did indeed return 19 months later and they married.
The point I want to make here, is not on the timeframe, but the fact that she did continue to live her life. She even played the dating game. Though he was the one she indeed wanted, she never ruled out other possibilities. She continued her readings with me and did not dwell on this person returning.

I LOVE JEWELRY! Costume jewelry is my absolute favorite. I started offering Jackie's Gems & Jewels on my website for those that share in that passion. What I like most about costume jewelry is that it is affordable with a lot of colors.

Facelift for the website...

It has been a long time coming but my entire psychic website at www.ms-swami.com has been revamped and went live today! (All prices remain the same, there were no adjustments there.) The focus was on easier navigation of the site, and we had some prior complaints about the site loading correctly on smartphones. Hopefully all of these issues have been resolved! IF you happen to come across ANY problem on the website, or have a suggestion PLEASE let me know. In the past, I have had numerous problems with the form for leaving testimonials, and so far, this new one is working like a charm! A few days ago, while things were being tested, it has come to my attention that I may have missed a couple of emails. If you have emailed me in the last week or so and did not get a reply, I apologize, and feel free to email me again.

Psychics and Missing Persons

Opinions, opinions, opnions...if you know me than you know my blog is full of my opinions. I actually have a lot to say about Psychics and Missing Person cases, and a LOT of pet peeves as to how other psychics handle this. Let me see where to begin...
I am often asked as a psychic, "Do you ever contact law enforcement?" The answer to that is NO. Now let me explain why. First of all, it is my personal beliefthat if I am meant to be involved in something they will find me. Does law enforcement actually use psychics? The answer to that is YES, more often than you may realize. My pet peeves in all of this? MANY, psychics that do reach out to law enforcement, can and have been charged with obstruction of justice and I support that FULLY!
I think I can best describe Missing Person Cases as emotionally challengingfor all involved, including the psychic. First and foremost, it is not my job as a psychic to inform the family of a missing person that their loved one has crossed over or is still living, that is the job of law enforcement. Next, when a family of a missing person reaches out to you it is out of "total desperation", meaning they have no other stone to turn. Nine times out of ten, they have never even spoken to a psychic before. In addition, to every one of these cases that I have been involved with, the family has a "theory" of who done it and how it happened. Therefore it may be difficult to explain to them "exactly what you see".
Now on to my pet peeves...
To the psychics that jump into the middle of an open investigation, yes, you should be charged with obstruction of justice. To the psychics that "advertise" they specialize in missing person cases...they completely disgust me. To the psychics that post on their websites and all over the internet your "Insights" of a missing person's whereabouts...you are messing with an open investigation and starting rumors. To the psychics, that in your post, you descriptively describe where to find a body...you have obviously NEVER worked with a task force or the family of a missing person. If you had you would one, realize it is an open investigation, and two realize how hurtful your words are to the people that loved them. To the psychics that advertise that they will only charge for their "travel expenses" to this I would have to say...REALLY? Because as a psychic you shouldn't HAVE to travel anywhere! To the psychics that advertise how law enforcement can contact you, this is one of the many reasons as to why they WILL NOT. And finally, to ANY psychic out there trying to collect money on someone's desperation and need for insights, I have one word for you...KARMA.
The reality of all of this is that IF they are not seeking "monetary compensation" then they are seeking the recognition. If this is the way you want to earn your "fame" than I have real issues with it.
If you are reading this and fall into the category of one of these psychics then you deserve to loose what business you have for lack of compassion! Try as I may, as a psychic, I cannot find any defense for these actions.
Bottom line, missing person cases are REAL. I am completely horrified in hearing what these families as well as law enforcement have been through with psychics.

Reiki for the "Greater Good"

I have received a few emails asking if Reiki can cure a specific ailment. I want to tell you exactly how Reiki works. The healing energy is channelled into you for "the greater good." It enters your body and it "goes were it is needed." I have had a couple people tell me that their Reiki session fixed another aillment that I didn't even know they had. As a practitioner, it is not up to you to direct the energy.
Also there is no "Right way or wrong way" to preform Reiki. Nor is there ever a "bad time" for you to receive a Reiki session. I have found that the ones that state this are generally the ones that are charging a ridiculous fee!
