June 2015 "Rants & Raves"

HELLO SUMMER!  The first official day of summer was June 21^st.  Although I can say that here, we saw many hot days prior to that! 

This is another month that has flown by quick enough that I almost forgot my blog!  For most of you, June has proven to be a mess.  Mercury Retrograde hit in full force followed by an odd alignment of a couple of the planets.  Well once we clear today, you should see some “normalcy” return.

I have spoke with a lot of you that are heading on vacation.  As we come into the 4^th of July weekend, I wish you all safe and happy travels.  We have had some family in visiting from Florida this month.  The summer months are all about vacation!  We are also excited to have some friends come in from New Jersey in the month of July.

My schedule will remain the same for the month of July.  The best time to catch me for a psychicreading remains between 1pm and 1am.  My plan for July is psychic readings, catching up on some accounting, as well as working on some finishing touches on my book.

I can say that I have no complaints about the heat as this is my favorite season of the year.  Jaselyn and I started a small garden back in April and it is thriving!  She enjoys that every single day.  We also had to replace our pool liner this year.  The problem with me appears finding the time to get in it! 

I have many of you inquiring about my next local event.  Because I stay busy, it has been hard for me to schedule anything.  (I am also factoring in that some of you are leaving for vacation.)  So meanwhile, if you can get a group together, then I would suggest you looking into a “Psychic Party.”

I am grateful to say that I have seen an increase in new clients over the last few months.  Though I stay on top of my emails, please remember that sometimes it will take 24 hours or more for me to respond. 

All the kinks with the new phone system appear to be fixed.  There is a new toll free number on the site that no longer has an extension.  I thank you all for working with me during that transition to the new system.

I have not scheduled anything for Central Virginia PsychicDevelopment & Paranormal Research due to the heat.  I also have many inquiries about those that are interested in a paranormal investigation.  I hope to have an open investigation for the pubic one evening in July.

I am kicking off the month of July (tomorrow) with some dental work.  I will NOT be available tomorrow evening, and I plan to carry a light schedule on Thursday.  Everything should be back to normal by Friday.

February 2015 "Rants & Raves"

I hope that the month of February finds you all doing well.  Mercury Retrograde ended on February 11^th, and I am getting a lot of people reporting that they are glad its over. (Next Mercury Retrograde is May 18th to June 11th).

For a lot of us the month of February has bought SNOW.  We had our “Large” snow last week, and other then a few flurries; I hope that is the end of it!  My heart goes out to all of you up North, as this has been a rough winter for you.

Unfortunately, little Jaselyn did not get to play in the snow.  She has two ear infections and a sinus infection and on the road to recovery.  She does enjoy standing at the door and it’s the first thing she needs to check on each day.  Today she appears a bit confused as it is melting away.

February also brings Valentine’s Day, to which I hope you all enjoyed!  I received a special coffee cup with Jaselyn’s hand print on it and flowers and a stuffed bear from my daughter.

On that note, I want to discuss “Soul Mates” and “Twin Flames”.  I have a lot of you reference both of these.  The truth is, these are generally the most difficult relationships that present a number of problems.  So for those of you that are searching for your soul mate or twin flame, you would be better off searching for someone with long-term compatibility!

CVAPI has wrapped up another paranormal investigation this month, and will be onto the next one in March.  Upcoming with Central Virginia Psychic Development & ParanormalResearch in the month of March, will be another tour of Hollywood Cemetery.  So if you are local, I hope you will join us!

We are still getting a phenomenal amount of requests for negative haunts.  This is NOT our specialty, although television has put us out there as just that.

I did hold the Tarot Card Workshop last Saturday.  At one time I thought I was going to have to reschedule due to the snow lingering around, but was able to move forward with it.  I do get a lot of requests for this and hope to be able to host another one in the summer.

As we all look forward to spring, I am seeing an increased number in the people that are interested in Reiki.  I love, love, love seeing this!  It amazes me how something so simple can be so effective.  I also get a lot of reports of people being interested, but “Overwhelmed” at the same time.  I put the “Simplicity of Reiki” out there for that reason.  It will give you a good summary of what it is, and how it works.  I still offer theReiki Course, but am considering retiring that edition in the next year.

As most of you know, I have spent the winter months working on a writing project of my first novel.  If all goes well, it is a “possibility” that it will be ready for pre-order in the month of April.  I will keep you posted.

I have to say that I am extremely proud of my daughter for starting her own business this month with Origami Owl!  This is something she has been interested in for the last couple of years.  For those of you who have never heard of it, please check out her website. They offer lockets with charms to fill them, as well as charm bracelets and earrings and just a bunch of cool stuff.  (YES I have made my “Wish list”!)  It is funny how things change over the years….you can now “Host” a party online on Facebook and still receive your hostess awards.  I am wishing her all the best on this new adventure!

January 2015 "Rants & Raves"

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday and a good start to the New Year!

It seems that today, all of my clients up North are bracing for the blizzard of 2015.  We are looking for a dusting to 2 inches here.  (However, February looks sketchy for this area.)  I believe most of us enjoy the snow even as we get older.  (Provided we don’t loose power!)  It does make for some nasty driving conditions so please be careful.

My New Year has gotten off to a good start.  I did take the month of January off from paranormal investigations to work on some writing.  I will have to say that I have enjoyed every single minute of it! 

In other news, Little Miss Jaselyn is walking!  I am honestly surprised to say, that I really think this is much easier than having her as a crawler.  Her vocabulary is coming along nicely and she is spitting out new words each week.

As most of you know, we are currently under Mercury Retrograde until February 11^th.  This is the time of the “Unexpected” and can cause anxiety in most, as well as “Technical” problems.  (You may notice that those around you are a little more sensitive or just plain moody.)  This is Retrograde #1 of 3 for 2015.  Each one is hitting hard in the financial sector this year.  This could be from “Good to bad”, meaning it could mean unexpected money coming in, or unexpected expenses of money going out.  (Hoping for the best for everyone!)

My Meetup group Central Virginia Psychic Development &Paranormal Research will have an event each month this year, as it has been way too long.  Next Saturday, January 31^st, we will have a “Meet & Greet” for new members.  In addition, we have another local paranormal team joining us as they are taking applications for investigators.  This is open to the public, so if you’re local I hope you will join us.

The next “Tarot Card Workshop” will be on February 21^st.  I also anticipate that we will return for a tour of Hollywood Cemetery in the month of March.  My paranormal team, CVAPI will also resume private investigations in the month of February.

March 31^st, if you are a history buff, keep your calendars open.  As I will promote a public event for one of my clients.

On that note, I also wanted to state that CVAPI does not specialize in negative haunts as television has put us out there as.  (They were just a couple of cases that fit their shows.)  We are more geared towards “Casper the Friendly Ghost!”

With the turn of the New Year, I have many, many of you looking for me to setup locally for readings.  I am working on putting something together in the month of February, so stay tuned!

I had posted a recent blog of a “Fraud Alert” as well as listing my actual websites.  To my clients , THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU so much for looking out for me!  A couple of times a year a psychic service will run my information as if I work for them when in fact I have never heard of them.  Due to you directly reporting this to me or asking me about it is how I SHUT IT DOWN.  Moving forward in 2015, I will not hesitate to blast them publicly for this!

2015 is a very high-energy year.  It has more of a “Natural flow” to it, than what we have seen in the past few years.  So RELAX & ENJOY!  (A big thank you to all of my clients for making 2014 another successful year and I am looking forward to what 2015 brings to all of us.)

Why do I only post specials to Twitter instead of Facebook?

It’s simple, I have a larger audience on Twitter.   The Facebook “Like” page will dictate who will actually see my post on their NewsFeed unless I pay to promote the post.  If I post that special at random hours on Twitter, more people will see it.

Will you have a spot for local readings this year?

I am working on it!  A couple of past locations will be used again this year as well.

Absolutely not!  I have become friends with another local paranormal team and do not mind trying to help them expand.  We do hope to do a couple of joint investigations this year.

December 2014 "Rants & Raves"

Is everyone ready for Christmas?  As of today, YES I finally am!  Though we put our Christmas tree up at the beginning of the month, I cannot believe it is the week of Christmas.   Our cat, Roxy, enjoys the tree as much as Jaselyn.

The plan this year is to stick close to home and let Jaselyn enjoy her toys.  I know I have spoke to some of you that will be traveling over the holidays and I wish you all a safe trip.

I will be available for both of the upcoming holidays.  (A couple of hours off here and there.)  And, for the first time, I am taking the month of January off from paranormal investigations.  (A much needed break!) I am pleased that we have another local, reliable team if anything should come up in January.   January I plan to keep up with my psychic readings, Reiki students, and continue to work on my writing project.  (As well as hibernate from any bad weather we may have!)

Don’t forget that when your January horoscopes post, there will be an extra line or two of what you can expect for the upcoming year.

Just what can you expect in 2015?  Actually, pretty much a repeat of this year but stronger in the area of finances.  A LOT of reconnections from the past.  Both people and places.  Also for a lot of you that don’t travel often, there is a lot of travel upcoming in 2015.  Overall, a good year ahead!

For myself, I would have to say that 2014 has been one of the better years for me.  It has been a productive year both personally and professionally and I hope 2015 is even better.  It has been wonderful having Jaselyn around.  My daughter has us establishing new family traditions and I have enjoyed both of them tremendously.

So what do I have planned for 2015?  First and foremost, psychic readings and some updates to my websites. I plan to kick off the first of the year with another Tarot Card Workshop in January.  I have a couple of paranormal investigations that we will do in February and March and start setting up for spring.  I am in process of ideas for Central Virginia Psychic Development &Paranormal Research.  I have a book that should publish in the spring.  (Possibly two, in 2015.)  And there are three separate discussions of filming projects in 2015.  (I will see where that goes, and keep you posted!)  My monthly horoscopes and the monthly blog will stay in place.  Though CVAPI’s YouTube channel stays updated, I hope to work on mine as well.  Oh yeah, VACATION!  I plan to work that as well!  And on a personal note, I have two rooms that I plan to paint.  Of course I always have a new idea or two that I am kicking around as well.

October "Rants & Raves"

I cannot believe we are at the end of October.  I feel like I have been in a whirlwind since August.  However, I am pleased, as I have accomplished a lot in a very short time frame.

We have logged another investigation in Downtown Richmond, for WRIC Channel 8.  That story will air sometime this week.  For those out of the area, I will see if I can find an online link to the story or get it up on my website.

I do have a couple of more investigations to complete before the year ends.  Our next Ghost Hunting 101 presentation is Tuesday November 11^th at Pamunkey Library in Mechanicsville, Virginia at 6pm.  If you have never been, please come by.  There is a LOT of information packed into a 2-hour presentation.

It does appear that the call for Virginia this winter is “Wet and white”.  I hope to take some time off from investigating the first of the year, to allow me to catch up on some other things.  The weather here this month has been perfect, I have no complaints!

I am sooo looking forward to Halloween!  It is a shame that it is not a weeklong holiday!  (There is nothing better than dressing up and candy!)  This year my daughter and I will be taking Jaselyn for her first Halloween.  She is dressing up as her all time favorite….Spongebob.

I finally feel like I have made some head way in accomplishing some things around my home.  Of course, there are still a few projects left, but the big ones are done!

I have had a couple of emails this month regarding that I was going to stop publishing the monthly horoscopes.  I am not sure where these rumors get started, but it is just that!  I will continue to publish the monthly horoscopes, both at Examiner and to my website.

Now that my schedule is dieing down with the paranormal for the year, I may very well begin making some changes to my website.   (There is a new store going up, and that link will be added soon!)

Psychic readings are always first in my priorities.  The best time to reach me remains between 1pm and 1am.  I do get backed up on emails from time to time, but for the most part you should not have more than a 24-hour wait.

I am in process of putting together the next Tarot Card Workshop for the month of November.  This will go up on my website soon and generally fill up quickly!

September 2014 "Rants & Raves"

The end of September….where did the month go?  It has been a busy month for me.  The month has consisted of several psychicreadings, a paranormal investigation and redoing my office space.

I did appear at Shogun’s this month for psychic readings and got to see many that I have not seen in awhile.  (Upcoming I do plan to return to this location!)

I was able to wrap up an investigation on a private residence today, and getting ready for another one.  It appears that we may be offering a paranormal investigation to the public in the month of October.  I hope to have more details on this soon!  (Keep your eye on the EVENTS page.)  For those with a paranormal interest, don’t forget Ghost Hunting 101 is coming up in November in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

The month of October I am keeping with a “Normal” work schedule.  Though there are many events in my local area, they will be worked into my readings schedule.  (The best time to reach me for a psychicreading is between 1pm and 1am.)

As for the redoing of my office, this has been like spring-cleaning in the fall!  Ultimately, I am super happy with how things are going and working at my own pace.  (The best part.)  I am a bit surprised at what my office has accumulated over the course of 8 years.

Mercury Retrograde is getting ready to hit us for the final time in 2014.  It begins on October 4^th and runs through October 25^th.  Although I really don’t expect this to be a “Negative” retrograde, I do find that it is one of the “Unexpected and/or surprises”.  Either way, it is not the time frame to begin new projects!

I finally took the time to close the pool yesterday.  The sure sign that fall is here!  Although it is cooler, I do enjoy just looking at the water.  With fall comes the comfortable days, hoodies in the evenings, the changing of the leaves, football and pumpkins!  Not a bad thing!

The month of October will be spent on psychic readings primarily.  I am only taking on a couple of paranormal investigations before the end of the year.  I hope to finish most of my projects on the house so I can spend the winter months on my writing project.  By the way, the prediction for winter in Virginia this year is “Wet and white”.  

Congratulations to my cousin Ashley on her marriage to Josh!  Her wedding was just perfect!  (Jaselyn had a great time and wore out both of us!)

Jaselyn is now 10-months old, and will be walking soon!  (How time flies!)

August 2014 "Rants & Raves"

The end of August, that is so hard to believe!  The holidays will be here before you know it! (I am still noticing a lot of signs of an early fall.)

This has been a busy month of trying to pull things together for a schedule for the fall.  I do have another Tarot Card Workshop coming up in the month of September.  (Date pending.)  I will get information out on this as soon as I can.

I am very pleased to see “A Haunting” air this month on Destination America.  The episode “Demons Revenge” was probably the best case that we had.  (There is a blog posted on that case.)  I was also shocked to see that Demon’s Exorcist, from 4 years ago has aired on Destination America this month as well.  (Both of these families are doing great now!)

I had put out a request on Facebook that I am looking for someone local that I have read for that would not mind being filmed.  I have filled that with a couple of back ups and I appreciate all of you that responded!

I am getting several inquiries on Central Virginia PsychicDevelopment & Paranormal Research.  It is indeed my fault that we have not had a meeting recently.  I am currently working on another project that has prevented me from scheduling a date, due to having dates available for this as well. 

Tentatively the plan is to move forward with the Tarot Workshop in September and a Reiki Workshop for certifications.  The month of October by all means, will have something to do with the paranormal.  And for those interested, the next public presentation of Ghost Hunting101, will be held in Mechanicsville in November.

Due to “A Haunting”, I am getting numerous inquires about CVAPI.  Those that we take out are members of Central Virginia Psychic Development & Paranormal Research, so please join, and email me your contact information to Jackie@cvapi.com.

This month, I have had numerous questions asked about psychic readings as well as the paranormal, so I want to address them here.

Is there a waiting list for a paranormal investigation?

Yes, sometimes there is.  Extreme cases generally come first and I may have to move someone back. 

Do you only take cases that are considered to be demonic?

No.  90% of our investigations are nothing more than to see if we can confirm paranormal activity.

How much equipment do you take with you?

It depends on the case.  The majority of the time, most, if not all of the equipment does go out with us.  This includes a surveillance system that runs 9 cameras.

Do you only take local cases?

Preferably, but other locations are considered.

When is the best time to catch you for a psychic reading?

Between the hours of 1pm to 1am.

Are your psychic readings cheaper in person?

No.  Although special rates are given for an hour session.

Do you run specials on your psychic readings?

Randomly.  They are posted on Twitter.

Can I split a session with a friend?

For 30 minutes or an hour, YES.  For 15 minutes or an email/chat, NO.

Do you take walk-ins?

NO.

I have so many of you that inquire about Jaselyn and she has just turned 9 months old.  I took some time off Monday to go with her and my daughter to the county fair and we ALL had a blast!  Currently I believe my daughter is planning her first birthday party.  Jaselyn also won her first pageant this month.

For those of you that missed “A Haunting” Destination America will rerun that episode this Sunday night the 31^st at 10pm.  (I am more than pleased to see that New Dominion Pictures did a great job on Tiffany’s story!)

July 2014 "Rants & Raves"

Funny how I got up this morning thinking I would go ahead and write my blog, and here it is 10:30 at night.  Another month has been flying by.  However, Virginia weather has not been all that bad for the month of July.  Unfortunately, I am beginning to see signs of an early fall.

We had family come in from Florida and stay with us this month.  Jaselyn was so good!  (But she always is!)  I also went to a brunch and saw some friends that I had not been able to see in months.  It’s so good to reconnect!  I hope to end the summer with having a get together here.  I am also VERY grateful for a friend showing up at 9:30pm last night to cut our grass!  (Yes, I broke the lawn mower.)  Even though it was cut at night, I have to admit it looks better than me doing it in the daylight!

I have not had a vacation yet.  I hope to sneak away for a couple of days in August, but we will see how that goes.  The month of August is when I try to line up events for the fall.  In November, CVAPI will appear at Pamunkey Library in Mechanicsville VA for Ghost Hunting 101, free to the public.  We also have several pending investigations coming up.

This Friday, August 1^st, one of our best cases will air on “A Haunting” on Destination America at 10PM.  The episode is called “Demons Revenge” and I am very excited to see it!  (I do plan to post more about that particular case at a later date.) 

I can share with you a funny thing about filming.  They picked me up at 6:30AM.  Twenty minutes after leaving my home I was asked, what was I wearing?  (It was February and I had on a coat.)  Well, I apparently had on the wrong color.  (Nope didn’t get the email on hair, makeup and wardrobe.)  So they want me in a solid color coral shirt.  I don’t even OWN a coral shirt!  So, the next plan is to delay filming, wait for the department stores to open and go shopping.  I placed a call to my daughter who called me back to say, “Good news, I have one solid color coral shirt”.  “And better yet, IT”S CLEAN.”  So thanks to my daughter filming went as scheduled.  It was probably sometime around lunch time (Or when I actually woke up), that I asked, “Why a coral shirt?”  Because it works with my complexion, hair, lighting, background, etc etc.  And a free fashion tip on the color palette that works for me.  So what did I learn?  I have been wearing the WRONG colors all of my life!  I have since tried to add those colors to my wardrobe.  (And I still don’t own a coral shirt).  But I have to ask…..How many of you could pull out a solid color coral shirt from your closet at 6:30AM?? ?

So for the month of July I have hit the cardio workouts harder than normal.  I must say a pedometer is the best investment EVER!  It will certainly show you how much, or how little you actually move in a day.  Not to mention that I sleep much better.  (Which is always a problem for me anyway.)

I have certified two in Reiki this month.  The Rieki course remains on sale until the end of July.  On a suggestion from one that is currently taking the course, I may very well set up a forum for Reiki so you may interact with one another.  (YES, I do promise I will get to the blog on Reiki!)

April 2014 "Rants & Raves"

This month has gone by super fast!   Here it is the end of April and I feel as though we just had Christmas.  I am really happy to see spring is here.  Things are coming into bloom and I have big plans for the backyard.

I am really pleased that I accomplished a lot in the month of April.  I have cleaned out some clutter in my office, caught up on my paperwork, bought my accounting up to date and have managed to keep all of my appointments.  That is a good month!

I had a wonderful Easter with my daughter and Jaselyn.  I also got to see some of our extended family that I had not seen in years.  Jaselyn is growing like a weed and now has two bottom teeth.  Time is flying!

I will return to downtown Richmond to Aqua on Tuesday May 6thand Tuesday May 20th.  psychic readings begin at 7pm.  I will also be available in the Chester area at least one Saturday in the month of May.

In regards to the “Free email follow up”, I am keeping this in place.  Please understand that sometimes I get backed up on emails and it may take a day for me to respond.  In the event that you have not received a response from me within 48 hours, please feel free to email me again.  I have a bad habit of reading emails with intentions of responding and will run into an appointment and forget about it.  (I’m working on this!)

For those that have my number programmed into your phones, please be advised that the 800# you call may change in the next 30 days.  The extension will remain the same but the actual number may change.  (More to come on this as I get updates.)  However, the price for psychic readings will remain the same.

While I have been playing “Catch up” on everything, CentralVirginia Psychic Development & Paranormal Research has fallen to the wayside.  There WILL be a meeting the month of May and hope you will join us!

I am also getting a lot of inquires as to if I am accepting new members for CVAPI.   We are always keeping our eyes open.  I ask that you join us at Central Virginia Psychic Development & Paranormal Research first.  As well as please let me know that you have an interest in CVAPI. 

What new project will I begin next now that I am all caught up?  Honestly, I am undecided but looking at different things.  (Right now I am hitting the work outs pretty hard.)  As well as looking forward to Mother’s Day and Memorial Day coming up in May.

Mercury Retrograde will hit us again June 7^th, so if you are planning new projects, now is the time to begin them.  (It is never advised to begin anything new during Mercury Retrograde.)  Don’t forget your horoscopes for the month of May!
